Learn DBT Skills Online at EmotionallySensitive.com These are the skills that helped this blog’s author overcome BPD!

I've been thinking about this post so much over the past few days. Keep questioning a reevaluation of my diet. It's shifted so many times, and I don't want to be impulsive about it again, and I know it can trigger my own EDNOS as well. I went onto Netflix today and added that documentary and several other food politics documentaries I had watched years ago to watch again. I almost watched it, but I just couldn't bring myself too. Oof. I'm proud of you in sticking to your values and making the decision that is right and healthy for YOU. Gears are turning in my head…

Oh wow snap! I wish I had a dollar for every time we BPDers seem to have things in common, especially with being sensitive and conscientious individuals, as I would be getting rich 🙂 because I too have been transitioning to vegan for awhile now. It is really hard (sorry to say this, but for me, it really is!) but something I think is really important to my values.
It is heart-warming to know others are facing a similar journey. I really liked how you applied dialectical thinking, as it has helped me see my own struggle in the same Wise Mind context. Love, Jess xox

Thank you for this comment, Aeshe. Anytime we share our experiences like you have, it helps others to know we are not alone. I am proud of you for NOT watching. Honestly, I knew better, and I've done this before. And I've said I wouldn't watch things that I knew could trigger me. I'm done with "testing" myself in this way. It's not worth the aftermath. My suggestion as a friend who also has EDNOS issues — don't watch the movie — and focus on your skills…. just watched your video on how you coped, and I am beyond proud of how you cared for you and how you set such a good example!

Thank you for sharing, Jess! I don't think converting to a diet that excludes things you've liked forever could be easy. I am proud of you for identifying your values and taking a slow, steady approach in transitioning your diet. Thank you for letting me know how you relate. It felt like a warm hug all of the way from Australia! 🙂
