Why Your BPD Setback is NOT a Failure

So many times those of us with or in recovery from Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) or other emotion regulation disorders see setbacks as failures.  I don’t believe they are, and in this video, I get into details as to why as well as how to reframe setbacks so that they become information to empower you.  Sit back, relax, and take these next few moments to listen in on how your recent setback into old, undesired behaviors can be reconciled and dealt with better next time.

Thank you for watching, listening, and reading.

More soon.

In kindness,
Debbie

Many thanks for this website, I check-in often. I am a 43 yr woman with a 7 yr son. I was diagnosed in 2010, I can no longer work because of BPD, so I have much time on my hands. I am no longer with my sons father. My son knows his mum is sick sometimes, and for a boy of 7 he has alot of empathy. Our relationship has become very close as he has become older. I have a boyfriend we have been dating for 1 yr 4 mts our relationship has been full of ups and downs, to say the least. I shall cut a long story short by saying, he has admited to me that he has blamed me for the BPD and at the moment our relationship is very fragile, he has said things to me that have been very cruel. I am in two minds as to what to do. He has asked me to forgive him, but it is proving hard for me to do. He is very sincere with his request to try again but I am not sure of my feelings. I still love him but BPD has made me feel very insecure and a burden on myself and a loved one. I just find it so hard to trust……
